Rock 4 Choice is an annual music festival focused on raising awareness of Pro Choice issues. This years Rock 4 Choice is also including workshops on a variety of issues relating to feminism, pro choice issues, and general awesomeness.
All workshops are free and will be held on Saturday September 12th, from 1pm to 6pm.
All workshop are heald at the Arusha Centre at: 223 12 Ave SW.

You Are Really Fat

Presenter: Britt Aberle
Fat is a desciptive word about someone's body size or type. It is beautiful, fit, desireable and healthy. Come debunk the socialized and widespread myths that are self-perpetuated and are reenforced by capitalism and patriarchy that say otherwise.

Baby, I'm A Manarchist

Today in America between 1 in 4 and 1 in 6 women will be the victim of rape or attempted rape in their lifetime, and one prominent study found that at least 20% of adolescent girls have been physically or sexually abused by a date or a boyfriend.
The only way to end the abuse and mistreatment of women is for many more men to make these issues their own.
This workshop is open only to male-identified people.
An Introduction To Polyamoury: Making Informed Decisions About Our Relationship Styles

While monogamous relationships may work for some, we deserve choices outside of this. Love can exist within diverse relationship styles. If you are interested in applying values of non-possession, openness and freedom to how you love and interact with people, please come to this workshop to learn more about polyamory.

What Is Pro Choice?

The Calgary Sexual Health Centre strives to provide calgarians with pro choice information and support around sexuality and sexual health issues. This workshop will look at what it means to be pro choice, how to apply pro choice values to our lives and interactions, and a look at pro choice tactics.
