The pro-choice movement is about more than abortion – it is about the freedom to make informed choices about sexuality, to have sex with whom you choose, when you choose and to access correct and thorough information about sexuality.
The Rock 4 Choice collective envisions a world where women are free to choose the best option for them during an unplanned pregnancy, people of all genders and sexualities are free to love who they love and be who they are, and our youth are free to access all the resources they need as they learn about sexuality. We want low income, immigrant and aboriginal women to be free to mother with the resources and support they need. We want you to be free to make your own choices about sexuality!
We oppose:
-Abstinence only sex ed
-Forced sterilization of aboriginal women
-“Crisis pregnancy centers” that misinform women
-Stigmatization and lack of support for low income single moms
-Homophobia and transphobia
-A lack of alternatives to hormonal birth control
We will create community, spread information, get active and Rock 4 Choice!
